NIVANETH POMA, CEO
Niva, originally from Peru, is a nurse who migrated to Italy almost 15 years ago. Upon arrival, she began a journey of continuous learning and studying in Italy to obtain recognition as a nurse. However, her career took an unexpected turn, leading her to work in the hospitality industry for nearly 13 years. With 8 years spent in Italy and almost 5 years in Australia, she found her true passion in hospitality.
Her initial purpose in coming to Australia was to learn English, but time passed quickly, and she found herself still immersed in the hospitality industry, which she has grown to love. The discovery of her genuine passion led her to Tequila Sunrise Hostel, where she initially arrived as a guest. The warm and welcoming atmosphere captivated her, and she now has the privilege of being a part of it, extending a warm welcome to guests as they become part of the Tequila family.
SUSANA ROJAS, TEQUILA SUNRISE GUATEMALA MANAGER
As an administrative and accounting assistant at Guatemala City Hostel, Susana has been fortunate to witness the hostel's growth and is enthusiastic about continuing her collaboration with the company. Her primary goal is to ensure that guests have the most enjoyable experience in Guatemala City. The exceptional service provided by the hostel's hosts, including Cristhiam, Jhonder Carol, Jacky, and Danilo, sets them apart and ensures they are always one step ahead in terms of customer service.
Greeting new clients on a daily basis is a source of joy for Susana, as she takes pride in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest. She understands the importance of leaving a positive impression and strive to exceed guests' expectations.
With her administrative and accounting skills, Susana plays a vital role in the hostel's operations, contributing to its success and ongoing development. JOHANNA CELIS, TEQUILA SUNRISE ADELAIDE MANAGER
Johanna Celis is a highly skilled professional in the field of hospitality and tourism management. With a bachelor's degree in this area, she brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Throughout her career, Johanna has held numerous management positions across various locations in Australia, showcasing her dedication to providing the best possible experience for guests.
In her role at Tequila Sunrise Hostel in Adelaide, Johanna has had the opportunity to further develop her skills while contributing to the overall success of the company. She values the supportive and dedicated team environment at Tequila Sunrise, which has allowed her to expand her knowledge and expertise.

LUISA TORRES, TEQUILA SUNRISE SYDNEY MANAGER
Luisa brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. With a Bachelor's degree in Business Management and a postgraduate qualification in Human Resources from Colombia, Luisa has a strong educational background. Her journey in Australia began five years ago when she arrived to enhance her English skills and explore better career prospects in her field.
While her professional path in Australia initially took her in different directions, Luisa's determination to pursue her dream job eventually led her to Tequila Sunrise. For the past four months, she has been an integral part of the team, contributing her expertise and enthusiasm.
Luisa's personality is defined by her strong work ethic, proactive nature, and goal-oriented mindset. She approaches her responsibilities with energy and organization, ensuring that every task is executed efficiently. Beyond her professional pursuits, she has a passion for adventure, traveling, dancing, beauty, and crafting.
As the Manager of Tequila Sunrise Hostel Sydney, Luisa is dedicated to providing exceptional experiences for guests. Her diverse background, combined with her vibrant personality, allows her to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all visitors. Whether it's assisting with accommodations, organizing events, or ensuring the smooth operation of the hostel, Luisa's commitment to excellence shines through in every aspect of her role.
TOM CARR, DIRECTOR
Tom's journey has been remarkable. After two years of overseas travel, he returned to Australia in 2005 and played semi-professional football with the Port Adelaide Magpies in the SANFL. His career in accounting has been equally impressive. While working for Qantas, Tom pursued higher education, completing the chartered accounting program.
In his role in Tequila Sunrise, Director, Tom oversees the administrative and financial functions of the business. This includes tasks such as reporting, funding, cash flow management, forecasting, and implementing financial systems.
Tom's journey from a globetrotting football player to a dedicated accounting Partner showcases his commitment to personal and professional growth. His expertise, dedication, and passion for helping others make him an invaluable asset to both clients and colleagues.
ALFONSO ABRIL, DIRECTOR
Alfonso Abril, born in Guatemala in 1984, opened his first hostel in 2013 in Guatemala City. In February 2018, Alfonso and his family relocated to Australia. His diverse professional pursuits reflect his entrepreneurial spirit and his commitment to making a positive impact on society.
